Electric cars are coming faster than most people can imagine. According to Stanford University, by 2025 there’ll be no new petrol or diesel cars in production. Just like the iPhone revolutionised phones, Tesla is revolutionising cars.

And it’s not just Tesla – BMW, Nissan, Jaguar, Renault, Volkswagen, Polestar and Hyundai all have great electric vehicles today, and more are expected imminently.

Electric Vehicle Sales Expert - London


We’re expanding our Electric Vehicle Growth Team in London. We're looking for an Electric Vehicles Sales Specialist, who will be responsible for managing sales directly with our customers focusing on our salary sacrifice product. You will be the face and the voice of the Octopus Electric Vehicles, advising and supporting customers throughout their journey towards purchasing an EV. Discussing their requirements and finding the perfect vehicle for their lifestyle, considering the salary sacrifice product fully and the benefits of going electric. A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability is a must with a strong understanding of process and the importance of customer service. What you'll do

  • Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers - from lead through to delivery and deliver sales in line with KPIs
  • Manage orders in progress and supervise order processing
  • Continue planning and targeting of the acquisition of new customers
  • Recording customer satisfaction and initiative best measures
  • Attend our own consumer marketing events to spread the word of electric vehicles and how we can help! (virtual and non virtual depending on restrictions)
  • Provide excellent customer service both through the sales process and also in after-sales customer care
  • Work with the wider teams to iterate propositions and materials for the consumer market
  • Strategically build your pipeline working with the team to create strong relationships both internally within departments and externally with our customers both on a consumer and business level.

Information Security and Privacy Manager


We are now looking for an Information Security and Privacy Manager to join our team and be our lead across all areas of Information Security and Privacy across the business. What you will do:

  • Lead on security and proper handling, storage, and deletion of our customer data
  • Continually improve how we manage customer data
  • Ensure that the firm’s policies, procedures, and training materials are up to date and well communicated
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key colleagues across the business and our clients, suppliers, and third parties
  • Technical sales support, responding to any relevant parts of tenders/bids, due diligence requests, ad hoc customer queries or concerns
  • Managing internal audits of our systems, developing and delivering improvement plans
  • Work to achieve and then maintain ISO27001 and best practice in information security
  • Audit existing suppliers on a regular, rolling basis
  • Assess and give recommendations on new supplier data and information security arrangements
  • Maintain, extend, and validate our data maps, both internal and external to OEV
  • Respond to employee and customer Data Subject Access Requests (DSARS)
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments for our data sharing arrangements, new software, and new products
  • Verify marketing preferences implementation
  • Lead the management and lessons learned of any breaches/privacy incidents
  • Plan and deliver training to OEV teams on privacy and information security
  • Ensure the proper application of data protection law and reliance on appropriate legal gateways to data processing mindful of the potential risks
  • Mitigate privacy risks and advise on potential solutions and changes to processes / policies proposed to aid both their legal and practical application
  • Be our first point of contact for any BAU questions and privacy related support.

OctoPool - Customer Operations Specialist

Growth Marketing Manager - London


We are looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to help us grow our Electric Vehicle Business. We're looking for an experienced digital marketer who will be responsible for reaching new B2B customers by:

  • Defining and delivering Octopus Electric Vehicle’s digital marketing strategy
  • Developing paid and organic cross-channel campaigns
  • Continuously optimising our digital marketing funnel
What you'll do
  • Plan and deliver cross-channel marketing campaigns to drive growth for Octopus Electric Vehicles, collaborating with the rest of the marketing team to develop integrated campaigns
  • Take data extracts from various sources to provide key stakeholders with clear insight into performance
  • Use data and insights to run tests and optimise ad performance across our marketing acquisition funnel
  • Create SEO-optimised content across the entire digital infrastructure within our site
  • Create compelling and distinctive creative and ad copy that attract customers to the Octopus Electric Vehicles site and crucially drives them to convert via our sales team. The changeable and fast-pace nature of digital marketing in a start-up culture means you'll need to proactively identify and analyse the latest digital trends and tech developments to help enable growth for Octopus Electric Vehicles

What you'll need

We’re looking for a talented Brand & PR Manager to join our team to help define what the world thinks of Octopus Electric Vehicles. You’ll be a key part of the marketing team and will work alongside the Octopus Energy Group to get our message across to our customers. This is a great opportunity to use creative thinking in a fast-paced delivery environment. If you want to execute on our ambitious Brand & PR plans and help define what our customers think of Octopus Electric Vehicles, then this could be the right role for you. You’ll forge relationships with key media professionals, journalists and press, to keep them in the loop with our news. Like everything at Octopus, our approach to PR is an expression of our mission and brands, focusing on transparency and honesty. You’ll be the first person covering Brand and PR at Octopus Electric Vehicles and will report directly to our Head of Marketing, whilst also working closely with the wider Octopus Electric Vehicles Marketing team. What you'll do

  • Help build our brand and PR strategy to grow awareness and consideration of Octopus Electric Vehicles amongst potential customers
  • Be our eyes and ears when it comes to PR, trends, developments of big opportunities that we could capitalise on - particularly across electric vehicles, green tech and renewables
  • Build strong relationships with key digital and broadcast journalists and keep them up to date with our news
  • Help to build distinctive campaign ideas to gain positive coverage for the brand and clearly show how we’re helping our customers
  • Manage our day-to-day press office, including writing press releases and jumping on reactive news opportunities to help raise the business’ profile within (and beyond) the industry
  • Look at broader PR and communications goals within the wider Octopus Energy Group
  • Help us to quantify the value PR drives and measure its effectiveness
  • Support our SEO efforts by helping to drive crucial backlinks to our website within PR coverage
  • Support the wider marketing team to deliver consistent and effective messaging across all marketing channels and communications
What you'll need
  • PR experience (managing both a press office and owning longer term PR campaigns) in a fast-paced environment is essential

We’re looking for a talented Social Media Executive to join our team and help to define what the world thinks of Octopus Electric Vehicles. You will be joining a growing Marketing team to support with managing, developing and growing all of the business’ social media accounts in-line with the brand plan, whilst also analysing data and highlighting trends that could enhance our brands’ awareness and online engagement. You will also work alongside the Octopus Energy Group to get our message across to our customers. This is a great opportunity to use creative thinking in a fast-paced delivery environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of our social media strategy across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, planning and delivering content that is relevant, engaging and effective. You will be a key figure in implementing and coordinating the social media marketing strategies to optimise growth, meet/exceed business goals, and deliver the best in class customer experience. You’ll be the first person dedicated to covering Social Media at Octopus Electric Vehicles and will report directly to our Head of Marketing, as well as work closely with the wider Octopus Electric Vehicles Marketing team. What you'll do

  • Own all social media activity for Octopus Electric Vehicles, working alongside the rest of the marketing team to define the role each channel should play in driving growth for Octopus Electric Vehicles
  • Implement a social media strategy that aligns with our goals, raises brand awareness, creates a conversation about us and ultimately delivers website visits and conversions
  • Work hand in hand with our designer and content team to develop engaging creative content that will be a hit with our audience
  • Identify trends and insights across social platforms to make sure we’re poised to capitalise on any reactive opportunities
  • Keep on top of latest developments in the world of social media including new platforms, algorithm updates and tools
  • Listen and react to segmented groups of customers, prospects, influencers and competitors
  • Create and manage paid social campaigns to support wider marketing activity
  • Monitor engagement and manage conversations with our social community
  • Measure success of all social media activity to demonstrate the value it drives within our wider marketing activity and continuously optimise it
What you'll need
  • Demonstrable experience driving growth and engagement for brands through social channels
  • Basic design skills is an asset but not essential
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining a loyal following across social media outlets by generating unique and relevant content for that environment
  • Experienced in working with social media reporting tools
  • Strong analytical knowledge allowing data to be turned into engaging content
  • Experience using social media monitoring and scheduling platforms
  • Consumer awareness – quick to understand a brand's audience
  • Extensive knowledge of current and future channels
  • Excellent written, verbal and numeracy skills
  • Great communication skills and ability to work as well as a team
  • A passion for EV’s/ green energy / renewables or generation
