Saving with an electric car

Plug In Grant

Government electric car grants are available on all battery EVs. Electric cars can claim a OLEV grant of £3,500. Electric vans are eligible for a grant of up to £8,000. The grant for vans covers 20% of the purchase price for these vehicles, up to a maximum of £8,000.

0% Benefit In Kind (BIK)

Benefit in Kind – the tax you pay if you get a car as a fringe benefit through work– is on average 28% for petrol or diesel cars. From April 1st 2020, Benefit in Kind rates will be 0% for electric cars (rising to just 1% and 2% in subsequent years). Let us help you and your team make the most of these great benefits.

Exempt from London Congestion Zone

Following a £10 registration fee fully electric vehicles don’t have pay anything for driving in central London. Usually this is £11.50 and so the cost of commuting for someone on a 3 year lease could be around £8,970.

The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operates every day all day in central London. This cost is £12.50 for most vehicles. For someone commuting on a 3 year lease this could potentially cost £13,650.
