Electric cars are coming faster than most people can imagine. According to Stanford University, by 2025 there’ll be no new petrol or diesel cars in production. Just like the iPhone revolutionised phones, Tesla is revolutionising cars.

And it’s not just Tesla – BMW, Nissan, Jaguar, Renault, Volkswagen, Polestar and Hyundai all have great electric vehicles today, and more are expected imminently.

Electric Vehicle Sales Expert - London


We’re expanding our Electric Vehicle Growth Team in London. We're looking for an Electric Vehicles Sales Specialist, who will be responsible for managing sales directly with our customers focusing on our salary sacrifice product. You will be the face and the voice of the Octopus Electric Vehicles, advising and supporting customers throughout their journey towards purchasing an EV. Discussing their requirements and finding the perfect vehicle for their lifestyle, considering the salary sacrifice product fully and the benefits of going electric. A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability is a must with a strong understanding of process and the importance of customer service. What you'll do

  • Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers - from lead through to delivery and deliver sales in line with KPIs
  • Manage orders in progress and supervise order processing
  • Continue planning and targeting of the acquisition of new customers
  • Recording customer satisfaction and initiative best measures
  • Attend our own consumer marketing events to spread the word of electric vehicles and how we can help! (virtual and non virtual depending on restrictions)
  • Provide excellent customer service both through the sales process and also in after-sales customer care
  • Work with the wider teams to iterate propositions and materials for the consumer market
  • Strategically build your pipeline working with the team to create strong relationships both internally within departments and externally with our customers both on a consumer and business level.
What you'll need
  • Proven track record of excellent customer experience
  • Either previous sales experience within a consultative environment or a strong passion for Electric Vehicles / Energy and decarbonisation
  • Excellent listening skills when dealing in b2c roles and great communication
  • A genuine passion for going above and beyond for customers
  • An ability to show a completer finisher mentality and an understanding of processes as a whole being able to see the why behind each section of the business and how that creates the entire vision
  • A start up / entrepreneurial mind-set being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business
  • A constant focus on improving and developing personally and within a business
  • Ideally if you have experience within fleet, leasing or selling a salary sacrifice product - this is a bonus!

Business Development Executive - Weybridge

Backend Developer- London


We're looking for someone with a general interest in technology and problem-solving; someone diligent and thoughtful. An interest in electric vehicles and the transition to zero emissions mobility would be a bonus. What you'll have

  • Python
  • Django (or equiv. web framework)
  • Domain modelling

  • Writing robust and fault-tolerant software

We’re expanding our Electric Vehicle Growth Team in London! We're looking for an Events Specialist, who will be looking after our electric vehicle events calendar across the UK. You will be the face and the voice of the Octopus Electric Vehicles, bringing together our EV Specialists and customers, as well as working on exhibition, sponsor and partner opportunities for the team. A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability is a must, with a strong understanding of the process and importance of customer service and teamwork. What you'll do

  • Coordinate a wide range of events including test drive events, exhibitions and partner events
  • Work with the team to ensure everything is in place and everyone is fully briefed
  • Find great venues and agree competitive rates to host our events
  • Coordinate all marketing activity in the run up to and across our events
  • Manage all logistics to ensure the cars, team, marketing materials and events equipment are at the event on time and on budget
  • Ensure the events run like a dream
What you'll need
  • High energy, professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with a flare for solving problems in innovative projects

Roadshow Specialist - London


We’re expanding our Electric Vehicle Growth Team in London! We're looking for an Events Specialist, who will be looking after our electric vehicle events calendar across the UK. You will be the face and the voice of the Octopus Electric Vehicles, bringing together our EV Specialists and customers, as well as working on exhibition, sponsor and partner opportunities for the team. A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability is a must, with a strong understanding of the process and importance of customer service and teamwork. We’re expanding our Electric Vehicle Growth Team in London! We're looking to create a Roadshow Team to bring electric vehicles and expertise to the UK. You will be the face and voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles, working on events up and down the UK bringing amazing electric vehicles for customers and potential customers to test drive, whilst fuelling their thirst for knowledge. A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability is a must with a strong understanding of process, reporting and the importance of teamwork. What you'll do

  • Work on electric vehicle test drive events across the UK on a weekly basis
  • Curate your own knowledge of electric vehicles to educate and advise customers
  • Share leads with the EV Specialist teams
  • Help to run the test drive events (including set up, data collection, check-in and de-rig)
  • Drive electric vehicles to events (including charging and cleaning vehicles)
  • Work with your roadshow team and the internal events team to plan forthcoming events
  • Help internal events team with marketing of these events and compile feedback on the success of the events
What you'll need
  • A valid clean driving licence
  • An ability to think outside of the box and bring new ideas
  • An ability to deconstruct and simplify complex ideas

The focus is currently on assessing B2B credit risk for our business contract hire and salary sacrifice products, but may expand to include consumer credit assessment in the future. We’re creating a new set of policies, processes and tech tools to efficiently and accurately assess B2B credit risk. To help us do that, we’re hiring our first Credit & Underwriting Manager. This is a key hire, with potential to grow into a senior position within the business over time.   • Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers - from lead through to delivery and deliver sales in line with KPIs
  • Manage orders in progress and supervise order processing
  • Continue planning and targeting of the acquisition of new customers
  • Recording customer satisfaction and initiative best measures
  • Attend our own consumer marketing events to spread the word of electric vehicles and how we can help! (virtual and non virtual depending on restrictions)

Business Development Manager- Weybridge


What we do. Electric Car Leasing Why we do it. Greener. Fairer. Future. We’re expanding our Electric Vehicle Growth Team. We're looking for Salary Sacrifice Business Development Managers, who will be responsible for managing sales directly with our business customers (roughly speaking 250-1,500 employees) focusing on our Salary Sacrifice product. You will be the face and the voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles, advising and supporting customers throughout their journey towards setting up a Salary Sacrifice scheme. A dedication to improving the Customer Experience is a must along with expertise in relationship building and a genuine passion for sustainability. This role will include a generous car allowance as part of the overall package and will be based in our brand new office Weybridge 1-2 days a week. What you'll do

  • Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers - from lead through to delivery, meeting (and ideally exceeding) targets set
  • Working from leads, planning and targeting the acquisition of new customers
  • Manage your pipeline and take control, recording progress in our CRM system and keeping things all up to date
  • Recording customer satisfaction and best practice measures
  • Plan, attend and run customer launch events to spread the word of electric vehicles and how we can help! (virtual and non virtual depending on restrictions)
  • Provide excellent customer service through the sales process
  • Share best practice and things you’ve learnt with your wider team, we’re still growing we have lots to learn along the way
  • Work with the wider teams to iterate propositions and materials for the B2B market
  • Strategically build your pipeline working with the team to create strong relationships both internally within departments and externally with our customers both on a consumer and business level
What you'll need
  • Proven track record of delivering an excellent Customer Experience
  • Previous sales experience of sales within a B2B consultative environment is a must along with a strong passion for Electric Vehicles / Energy and decarbonisation
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and/or car leasing would be a big benefit
  • Excellent listening skills and great communication
  • A ruthless focus on the customer with a genuine passion for going above and beyond for customers
  • An ability to show a completer finisher mentality and an understanding of processes as a whole being able to see the why behind each section of the business and how that creates the entire vision
  • A start up / entrepreneurial mind-set being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business
